Hyde House manages the MBO of Universal Science 

Universal Science an international group of companies in the LED lighting sector, sought to solve the problem of transition of the majority UK Shareholder.

Hyde House identified two trade buyers and the possibility of a sale was explored with both of these businesses. This solution however was found to be unsuitable in terms of satisfying the requirements of the other international shareholders.

Under the guidance of Hyde House the possibility of an MBO was explored and ultimately completed under terms favourable to all the shareholders, the Dutch and Italian directors bought out the share capital of the UK Managing Director of Universal Science.

This was one of the longest and most time consuming transactions Hyde House has undertaken and we are delighted that we could bring this deal to fruition allowing our client to facilitate his retirement and to position Universal Science to continue to grow under the existing Dutch/Italian management team.
